Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). I have a V60 and I have a Poker II. If I had to choose one, it would be the Poker II. For a straight out of the box board, pretty much nothing beats that programmable layer.
Also, AFAIK, you can turn the backlight off on the V60, plus you can choose between two colors rather than one.
I also have the Matias version of this board, and this feature is the main reason why I didn't buy a poker ii.
The placement of the arrow keys on the V60 are just perfect. Being able to use Fn+ P(up)L(left);(down): (right) with using just my right hand turned out to be much more practical than I thought. This being my first 60% keyboard, I figured that I would miss having the arrow keys... then I realized that this keyboard has three sets of arrows!
