Just received mine, doesn't write for crap when held at any angle except 90 degrees straight up and down. I'm not sure if it's a bad cartridge or poor manufacturing, but either way I'm not really happy with this drop, and the Ti was definitely a waste of money. Any chance of getting a response from the maker on why it won't write? It's a pen, it should do that one thing at least passably well...

Received mine in the mail this week. This is strictly an emergency pen. It's far too small—really—for everyday use. And I'm not so happy with the proprietary refill. Having said that, it does seem to be very well constructed, but to be honest, there is not that much to it. And it does not detach from the keyring. You'll need some sort of quick release set up for that. but I wouldn't recommend spending any money for that. This is strictly an emergency pen. It's fine for what it is. Definitely not an EDC item.

I've had mine for over 2 years, but only used it once. I think $35 is a regular price for the SS model on illumn. $45 for the Ti model is a really good deal.

I have this in titanium. The difference in weight between Ti and steel in a pen this size doesn't give the Ti any real benefit.
I carry it in my wallet as it is super small and fits in the fold without adding bulk. It isn't good for writing much more than a signature unless you have hands the size of a squirrel.
The refills, I believe, are specific to this pen and can only be purchased from the few places that sell this pen. I bought a few refills when I bought this pen 5 or 6 years ago and am still on the original.
It is just too small to use for anything other than an emergency pen. It replaced my Fisher bullet that was too large and used to infrequently to warrant the space. I carry this pen everyday for the unexpected and toss a Kaweco Sport in my pocket if I think I'll need a pen and don't have a pack with a Maxmadco or other large pen.
It is lightweight and takes up no space at all. It is excellent as an emergency pen. At the price I paid I don't get enough use to justify the cost. At the Massdrop price I think it is well worth the money if you have any need at all for a tiny emergency pen.

Apparently it's Not a magnet, looks like a twist to detach, and supposedly holds well. https://www.edcforums.com/threads/valiant-concepts-titanium-edc-pen-review.61642/ Video:

How does it stay attached to the keychain ring? Magnet or some sort of firm attachment?
