My application for the Ti BOT is a waterproof container for first aid kit, fire starter, emergency kit , rations, etc... for winter mountain backcountry ski trips. If you are stuck out overnight due to someone's injury or other emergency, its hard to melt snow in a nalgene bottle over a fire. I toss this into my ski pack and I'm good to go because its got what I need in it. I have never used it as a water bottle, nor as a cook pot... yet. Knock on wood.
I have other smaller/lighter pots for use in the other seasons.
