I picked up one of these but never took it camping. It just has a lot compromises: tall, tippy, hard to grip w/o handle. I think the only way I could justify it is if I used it as a canteen during the day and pot at night. But my water bottles are so light that the weight saving does not justify the annoyance of the BOT's shortcomings. If you are just looking for a pot, get a real pot. My my only current scenario for the BOT is if meal shakes were a significant part of my diet. Then it would be three in one: pot, shaker bottle, and canteen. Having said my gripes, other people are making entries and seem quite happy. So feel free to ignore a grumpy old man.

doug100Now I have to add a retraction. This year I took the 1L Bot on my trip. The main advantage was space saving since replaced my 1L canteen during the day. No pot to carry in my pack. I coupled it with a mini canister burner head and 100 gm canister which takes up minimal room in my pack. Not a great water bottle, but I just use it to refill my other bottle when it gets empty. Is it a great pot? No. It is a good enough pot? Yes All I am doing is boiling 2 cups of water So the 1 L Bot can be a acceptable compromise replacing a pot and 1L water bottle. If you don't need a full 1 Liter capacity, then the 750 with a handle solves a lot of the issues with the one liter version
