I'd prefer to see the CORE stove in a drop - simply amazing performance for the same weight.

The Core 3 looks like something I'd like to try. It's a _wood gas_ stove (double walled) and can be used as a Trangia pot stand as well. http://shop.mysurvivalpack.com/core-3-stove-ultralight-ti
I would not have known about Vargo stoves had it not been for Massdrop. I boiled 1.5 liters of water at sea level in 25 min using twigs on the forest floor. It was very easy to use, lit quickly, maintained flame and heat as needed. There is definitely a learning curve with this stove. I would start off using 3 times the fuel/twigs from the beginning. I am sure it would have cut the boil time considerably. As it is, the stove takes up almost no space, and is lighter than any functional stove / fuel system I have ever come across. After testing, this stove has earned a spot in my backpack. They are so light and convenient I will be picking up a second to use as backup / additional cooking surface.

Is this better or worse that the fire box nano?
I'm the lucky 50th. Already have their Firebox grill, which is also great. This price is great value, they sell locally (Korea) for about $100...
it is really nice I would consider pairing with my trangia
Doesn't titanium oxidize near open flames?
WeirdFrog
Like aluminium and magnesium metal surfaces, titanium metal and its alloys oxidize immediately upon exposure to air. Nitrogen acts similarly to give a coating of the nitride. Titanium readily reacts with oxygen at 1,200 °C (2,190 °F) in air, and at 610 °C (1,130 °F) in pure oxygen, forming titanium dioxide.[8] It is, however, slow to react with water and air, as it forms a passive and oxide coating that protects the bulk metal from further oxidation.[3] When it first forms, this protective layer is only 1–2 nm thick but continues to slowly grow; reaching a thickness of 25 nm in four years.[15] I wish I didn't have to quote Wikipedia, but this seems like authentic information.
$3.71 shipping to Aus sounds bloody good to me! Usually it's "Hella" expensive.
$40+3 shipping. It is available for same price ($43) in Amazon

That's because we live in the only country that matters.
A stupid and inflammatory comment. Just because he points out a competitive price on Amazon, does not mean he is "unaware of other countries." If the price is significantly different elsewhere, why is that his responsibility to know?
Claims it can boil 2 cups of water in 10 minutes. The Indefinite burn time is kind of gimmicky since you can obviously keep a fire going forever as long as you have enough wood.
