Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Vargo Titanium Swing Blade Tools and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

It’s happening! Thanks to each of you, the drop was a success and we have contacted the vendor for the Vargo Titanium Swing Blade Clip and submitted the group’s order. They are now working hard and preparing your orders for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey, where our team will be standing by ready to break everything down into individual orders and reship them directly to you. We currently expect to have everything out of our warehouse and on its way to you by 9/10.

Hmm... I guess it's held shut by the tension of the lock bar pressing on the back of the blade.
Not sure what to think about that.

It looks to have a locking mechanism, so I'd think it would be safe when open. If it has a detent to keep the blade tightly closed, I wouldn't worry too much about safety.
Not a bad price, but sort of a weird form factor. It's set up more like a scraper than a knife. I suppose having a blade is better than nothing, but I'm sort of on the fence about this one.

I love my Tuls Ollie [1] and I love my Spyderco Squarehead [2]. This seems like a combination of the two, however, with fewer abilities. I suppose if I thought carrying two separate items was too much of a hassle I would go for this, but having already purchased the other two, there not much draw for me here.
I will say this, though, this item is less than either [1] or [2], let alone both of them combined, so from that perspective, it's a steal.
