I would have liked to see deeper savings here on Massdrop. They're $17.95 on Amazon Prime, so with shipping, getting this 2x deal, you only save $3... https://www.amazon.com/Vargo-VR206-BRK-Chopstix-Travel-Chopsticks/dp/B000CDH8PA/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1512412134&sr=1-1&keywords=Vargo+Travel+ChopstiX

If you don't like the "tooth feel" of metal chopsticks, or don't have room for non-folding chopsticks, this is a great option at a reasonable cost. You do have to separate the halves, clean them, and allow them to dry *thoroughly* before storing, so that's the trade off for the size.

What would be the best way of washing these? And would they rust

AitheyYou should take them apart and wash them properly after each use with something non-abrasive, and allow them to dry completely (in separate pieces) before packing them. This allows any water that gets in where the pieces join to dry out, and keeps them hygienic as well as preventing damage. Stainless steel may pit/corrode or rust if left in water or damp conditions over extended periods, but you really have to neglect and abuse it for that to happen. If you'll be using them for their intended purpose and caring for them, it shouldn't be an issue. A lot of tableware is stainless steel, or lesser, and holds up fine, even to camping/travel. The wood portion would likely split before you'd have trouble with the metal, and if you've had wood chopsticks, you know they can last a lifetime if basic care is given.

To be fair, it's cheaper than the $35 toothpick MD was selling earlier this year.

GL1TCH3DThese Vargo chopsticks are stainless steel and wood, much nicer than plastic utensils.

emdeeI understand that part.
Still a good quality plastic set isn't bad. Chopsticks don't need to be metal to function.
I know this set is more luxurious though

Man, this may be the worst drop that I've seen, but then I remember a certain leather Hot Dog holder that was priced at $100+.
