I ordered it because I was curious and also intrigued by the windscreen. Just timed it on .5 L in a SnowPeak mug at 15 minutes plus to boil, about three times what it would take me on my TurboCat II homebuilt, which is made of a cat food can and a pop can. On the other hand, reclaiming fuel was easy, and the Vargo seems less vulnerable to destruction by one footstep. I'm going to experiment with it and check efficiency, especially by varying height to the pot. I suspect it has the pot way lower than optimal height. It is cool to see the jets fire on after 3-5 minutes of priming; you can feel the heat difference when it fires up. And yes, the windscreen is awesome.
