looks like a cool product, add some magnesium and drop the price it would be great. You can buy this on amazon for $24.99 with free shipping (prime membership). You really aren't' saving much when you pay $19.99 plus $2.75 for shipping. It is a nice thing to have but a little overpriced especially when other fire-starters that have magnesium are in the $5-8 range. I just blow on my fires or use a paper plate to create a bellows action. I do a lot of camping and leading Boy Scouts. I wouldn't mind trying one out and if it works perhaps we could buy more to give a way to the boys or other people interested. Is there a bulk deal or a way to get one to try out before we purchase in bulk or something?

you scrape off pieces of the magnesium and it creates a very hot burn to assist in the lighting

it creates sparks but does not have anything to burn, google it magnesium burns hotter and for longer, you use the sparker to ignite it
