Does anyone from the past drops have experience with using this on the VB87M Bluetooth Keyboard?
Does it hurt the metal case bluetooth signal noticeably? Also how difficult is it to change cases? This is my first mech keyboard that I'm looking at modifying in any way.
LueetanDepending on the location of the bluetooth radio this case could have anywhere from "little effect on the signal strength" to "completely blocks it." If you use a metal plate for the keys, then it will also have a detrimental effect on signal strength. If the bluetooth antenna is near where the key switches are mounted (and therefore where the largest hole in the metal case is), then I would expect that the bluetooth functionality of the keyboard should be strong enough that the keyboard would work within the normal range you would occupy while using the computer. If you are going to be odd and use a metal case keyboard with an HTPC, then I wouldn't expect it to work (even though the signal may still may be able to reach your couch from the entertainment center).
Personally, I would probably end up buying the case and trying it out. If it didn't work, I would just build another custom keyboard that wasn't cordless. Sadly, this item drops at a time of the month where I am out of money, and ends before my next pay check. :(((

LueetanIt does block signal. I have his case for my vb87m and I had to put my Bluetooth dongle on an extension cord and tape it to the top of my tv in my living room so it would register with the keyboard on the coffee table. When the dongle was simply plugged into my PC (tucked into the corner) it would have a horrible connection
