I love this layout but I'm UK-iso. Is there any reason I couldn't put UK keycaps on, reprogramme and enjoy this lovely, lovely keyboard?
edit: I'm still new to keyboards, so forgive what might be a silly question.

MukdukYou are correct! In Windows, you can select the keyboard and use English UK. The computer will use a UK keyboard layout. If you are in the UK you probably already use this layout. You can then install UK keycaps if you want them. When I write in Spanish, I change Windows from USA English and use a European Spanish layout, and then I type -- but I have not yet memorized where many special keys are located ( such as @ ( ) ñ / ). The actual markings on the keycaps would be great. UK keycaps should be easy to find. The keycaps must match the switch that is installed on the keyboard. - Cherry MX on this keyboard. Also you have to decide what keycap profile is good, usually Cherry or OEM profile but there are others. Cherry is probably a closer match to Varmilo but I am not sure because I don't know exactly what keycap profile Varmilo uses. When you buy an entire set this is not a problem because they all match. The difference is the height of the plastic. If you touch type and know where the letters are located on a UK keyboard then you do not need UK keys. You can type from memory. Good luck!

MukdukNot silly!
No need to reprogramm, the output, if you press a key, is given by your OS and the settings Country/Language, Keymap. Stock Win ISO-DE would output Z, if Y would be pressed and Y, if Z would be pressed. (Qwertz) Stock Win US-ANSI, Z and Y would be corresponding to the keycaps shown. (Qwerty)
What does it mean, if you're able to type without looking at your keycaps, you shouldn't experience a difference. If not, you might be in trouble, keycaps don't reflect the output. You can buy fitting keycaps, if available, but they must be compatible with Cherry MX and the sizes have to match. This one does use the so called standard bottom row, 7x1.25u and 6.25u spacebar, which is good! It might be getting expensive to get a fitting keycapset, usual drops here might be $80+ and ISO-UK addon another $20+, additional shipping and customs.
UK has a very good keyboardstore: https://www.keyboardco.com/category.asp?sr=&path=mechanical+keyboards&lan=United+Kingdom&ss=de&rtv=100 and have a look: https://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard/uk-va88m-cmyk-pbt-backlit-soft-linear-keyboard.asp as example.
In the end, all money and trouble considered, i would know for sure, where i would be buying :)

2bitsThanks for the reply. I have the SA Pulse set on order but need a board for it. I think it'll look really good on the white version. In fact, that's what I'm ordering (with red switches).

MukdukI'd be interested in buying your keycaps that sit on the board when it comes :)

SendrimYes, no problem. I'll be using different keycaps, anyway.
