Wow. Waiting for this drop for a while and all they do is mark the MSRP up so it looks like you are getting a deal. This is literally the MSRP price after the "drop price".

TheMagickConchPerhaps you can share your findings? While MechanicalKeyboards.com indeed lists these at $159, they are all sold out (and no preorder option is available). Further, a cursory glance through Amazon results in a $180-200 price range. I appreciate the heads up!

KaftanGetting any of the Cherry options with the PBTs puts the price into the range you just described.

TheMagickConch your best bet is probably message the Varmilo sales lady Cynthia directly, she'll probably give you a better quote than that.

KaftanPlus it comes in the aluminum case instead of having to pay extra for it as you usually would... that in mind it is kind of a great price at the alum case could be 80-150 alone

RhdarkknightNo, it always comes with the aluminum case featured in this. Please show me otherwise so I can buy the keyboard for $0-$80

TheMagickConchThis is a decent price for Varmilo I think, just the extended wait time is off putting. I ordered a VA68M directly from Varmilo with some minor customizations, included DHL shipping totaled around $220. Minus the extended wait time.
I might just join this drop and get one for myself if it's as decent as various feedbacks seem to indicate.
But please, let us know if you can find a better deal elsewhere.

goodthymesI'll try. Mechanicalkeyboards.com has only preorder right now for limited edition metal alloy boards.

goodthymesI would consider doing that myself, and pay just slightly more for it to arrive earlier. I was exploring their website but google translate can't really translate images that have Chinese in it, so makes it a losing battle for me.
How did you go about ordering a customized VA86M from their website? Unless you know how to read Chinese.
Thanks!

odanyAs said previously by someone else on here, Varmilo has a web/online rep who takes order directly through email. Her name is Cynthia (zhh3@zhihaihe.cn), she's fluent and conducted whole transaction in english.
In my instance, Cynthia sent an attachment of their stock options and you can pick and choose from there. If you want something more specific it's best if you know exactly what you want otherwise it can be a bit of back and forth, e.g., switches, case color, keycaps combinations, etc. Really can't say enough good things about Cynthia, kudos to Varmilo for having someone who's so on point.
Coincidentally, the VA68M arrived yesterday and have to say I'm really impressed, of the construction, and just general quality while testing it out . From payment to receipt of product was about one week (US west coast). I do think it doesn't hurt to reach out see what's presented, though I would suggest you google a bit and see what options/combos people are getting to have a better idea of what's available.

goodthymesThanks for taking the time to reply! I had seen that comment earlier but I had forgotten about it when I asked.
I am glad they have someone like her. I do know what I want for the most part, just deciding between Cherry MX Clears and Greens. I currently have blue's and linear greys.
Looks like this was good timing! Not a bad turn around time, however for the east coast I am sure it will be a little bit longer.
Thanks for the picture as well. Nice to know what you got doing the custom order from them. I now feel more inclined to get it :)
