Gert-JonelEven though I bought the white version this time, I requested another drop. AFAIK, there's no other wireless mechanical keyboard available,* and the next drop might feature different options I'd have preferred this time (such as different LED colors and Cherry MX Brown switches).
If this Varmilo proves as versatile and satisfying as I hope, then I'll order another with a different configuration when Massdrop offers it again.
A bluetooth model of the smaller Varmilo would be welcome, too.

* If other bluetooth mechanical keybs exist, feel free to correct me -- particularly if you have links to share.

VarholiaglimpA bluetooth variant of the smaller Varmilo does exist! Under the name VB660M, similar naming conventions as the VB87M. Here's proof: http://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/2jlvf8/photos_varmilo_vb660m_wireless_overview/

LeaseI'm a big fan of the 66/67 form factor. I use this at work:

Bluetooth 3.0 and love the wire free, dongle free life it provides me. I hope this Vamilo bluetooth brings that joy at home too.

VarholiaglimpIt's full sized, but I have the Filco Convertible 2 Bluetooth mechanical and love it (connects via USB and up to four switchable-via-Fn-key Bluetooth devices). My review of the keyboard is on my blog at http://www.existdifferently.com/2015/filco-convertible-2-keyboard-yay-its-here/ and the company I bought it from has a review as well: http://www.keyboardco.com/blog/index.php/2015/04/filco-convertible-2-hands-on-review/
Took a LONG time to find a good mechanical keyboard and the Filco just came out in February. It's awesome but full-sized (and I carry it a lot), so I had to pick up this Varmilo as well :-)

ZiploideI almost got the Filco Air, ended up with the Convertible 2 because of the Fn-switchable Bluetooth profiles, whereas the Air appears to just connect to up to 3 Bluetooth devices, in the order they were paired depending on current availability, so very little control that way. Of course the Varmilo I don't know how it works at all, but I at least have the Convertible 2 already...the Air was tempting when I was originally deciding on my first, though!

dszpNice review, dszp! Pity the Convertible 2 seems not to be available Stateside.

dszpMan, for what it's going to cost me for this thing and a numberpad, I would have just bought that Filco. Couldn't find any in the US though. Oh well, at least the Varmilo has nice keycaps?

VarholiaglimpI bought my Filco from The Keyboard Company in the UK and I live in Indiana in the US. It arrived two days after shipping, via DHL. My boss got one a few weeks later with similarly fast shipping. Downside is the exchange rate (cost me US$212 including shipping and a pack of O-rings) but if you're up for spending the money, don't let the location stop you.

mangixSee my reply just now above; don't let anything but the exchange rate stop you from ordering the Filco from the UK :-)
