Just a heads up to anyone looking to use this keyboard with the Vortex PBT front printed or double shot keycap sets that have been available on massdrop before, and I believe at least the front print are currently available, the space bar of the front printed set will not work (does not have narrow mounting points needed) and the double shot space bar might not either. At this point I'm not sure which company is using a non-standard spacing, the vortex keycap fits my ducky shine 3 fine but the shine 3 uses the wide mounting points so it may just be a case of the inner mounting points being defective I suppose and I don't have another narrow spaced keyboard to test with. but either way the inner mounting points of the keycap that comes with the varmillo and the inner mounting holes of the vortex keycap are just a couple millimeters different so the stock keycap fits (obviously) but the Vortex does not.
here's a picture for reference. In order the stock shine III, stock Varmillo, Vortex PBT double shot (obviously the space bar itself isn't double shot PBT because it doesn't have a legend on it but that's the set it came with) and front printed PBT. The two Vortex keycap sets were both bought here on massdrop.

ajoy39There are a small amount of Varmilo keyboards that have been shipped with cherry stabilizers with weird spacing instead of the normal costar stabilizers. Some of us in the VA87MR drop have been reading about this and trying to find out what's going on. You should submit a support ticket to Massdrop so they can compare your data to everyone else's and see if there is any correlation.
I've seen about 5-6 cases of someone getting getting the wrong stabilizers on their Varmilo keyboard, I'm just hoping mine comes with the costar stabilizers. I've seen some posts on Reddit that do indeed have the costar stabilizers so this is not happening to everyone.
Here's an example of a VA87MR that was posted on Reddit a few days ago that has the correct stabilizer under the space bar. They got this keyboard from the last VA87MR drop here on Massdrop. You should find out what Massdrop can do to help you because this is a mistake from the retailer. Varmilo boards are supposed to have costar stabilizers.

drmntlis the stablizer user replaceable by chance? i can't see a way to get it out without at least taking the case off, which I'm willing to try, but I don't want to try detaching anything from the PCB. Would prefer not to have to send this one back in since it's already replacing a broken Ducky and I don't want to be without a good keyboard for a couple more weeks, but having a white spacebar with the rest of the keys being black bothers me enough that I will if I have to. Thanks for the info, bummed to know I received an incorrect unit but happy that there is at least something I can maybe do that isn't just "suck it up and use the stock spacebar"

ajoy39I had to take the case off, but I managed to replace mine without de-soldering the board.
I had to pull the inserts up then rotate them to separate them from the wire. Afterwards there was just enough space between the plate and the board to pull the wire out from the bottom.
There are cutouts for costar stabilizers if you have any laying around.
