The watch looks pretty damn good but hardly worth 799 but hey, it is a fashion watch from a fashion brand. In my honest opinion it would be fairly priced at 499-599.
SkipPpIts just an Eta movement though... any other brand for the same thing would max out at 500 bucks fella unless they were trying to be "Lux"... which is what this watch is doing.
SkipPpEven with an ETA in it, it is still 100usd over the "normal" price range I guess? Check out Steinhart, they have got ETA in them and I believe their price are within the range of 499-599, I might be wrong since I do not check their watches too often.
HieuTranNo your right... not sure about the Steinhart though I know they are on Massdrop a lot. I do know ETA doesnt automatically make it an 800-1k watch though... ETA makes some pretty cheap quartz movements too. should those start at $600 too?
HieuTranI actually own a Steinhart flieger with a Unitas 6497. The brand is the lowest priced, but the quality is no where near Stowa or Tourby. Worst of all, they are pretty much Chinese-made watches with Swiss movements dropped in (just like Christopher Ward). The only European-made items are the movements and the leather straps.
russsertThere are few Swiss watches that sell for less than $500 with ETA movements save for the Chinese-made with a Swiss movement dropped in watches or Tissot, and Tissot watches often look poorly finished (especially dials). I am not saying that I would get this watch, but its price is not outrageous save for its dreadful brand name.
SkipPpI would say ETA's are overrated. Between ETA 2824-2 and Citizen Miyota 9015, I would prefer the Miyota since it is made to last and they are almost the same when it comes to keeping time except that the rotor of the Miyota sounds a lot more.
SkipPpI hear you... It certainly could be worse honestly. I was expecting over 1k. I think most people though I don't think would not pay near 800 for this.
