Gaming chairs tend to be hard to assemble. That’s why Vertagear created the SL2000 Series Chairs, which utilizes a patented slide-in design with only three main components, drastically reducing the time it takes to put together Read More
How do I remove the armrests on the SL2000? For both of them I can get the first 2 screws but then the other 2 that have a hole in front of them are too tough. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thank you
It's an excellent chair IMO, however it is very firm. If you're not used to it your butt might get a bit numb but after a while (and what might be a placebo break-in period) it's fine. Also, the armrests are too high in their lowest position. That reminds me, is it safe to unscrew the armrests on the SL2000? I hate armrests and they're my main problem with this chair.
Otherwise, fantastic.
The only other issue (my phone was at 1% while typing that so I didn't have much time sorry) was that some of the screws were too tight out of the box. WAY TOO TIGHT. Also, the straps weren't as strong as I would have liked (though I did abuse them pretty badly) and had to make new ones. Nothing to knock off a point though, it took a LOT of harsh pulling to get them to break. I'm going to remove the armrests in a bit, 4.5/5 Vs
BraokOne last thing to add before I go, the firm (maybe slightly on the stiff side, just slightly) cushion encourages you to take breaks and walk around for a bit, so that's another plus. If you want something you can sit in all day without discomfort I hear the DXRacer chairs are soft but I also hear they aren't anywhere near as well built and you never want to sit in a chair all day. Very bad for your health :)
CoultermacHi Coultermac!
With a 40" waist there shouldn't be much of an issue, but we generally recommend the SL5000 or PL6000 for your size. It depends on preference, size of your legs, and how you sit.
This is what I meant, built in. Im not asking Vertagear to make that, though it would be a nice feature. I wanted to see Massdrop have more lumbar adjustable chairs in general. If Vertagear got in the built in lumbar game they would be one of the few, which makes it very attractive. Probably more expensive too.
Ahh thank you for clearing that up because it was confusing me. I love this website not only for it's great deals. But obviouslu exception service. (: have a great day man
