I have lost 85% feeling in my feet after spinal surgery and I walk like a... well, like a "walker". These Furoshiki allow me to drive without apprehension, and just simple walking has returned to a fairly doable thing. I bought 1, wore hem for two weeks, then went back for 4 more for me and two for my wife, now an aged ballerina with damaged footsies. She's liking it. We showed them to my old buddy Mickey who usually wears Lama cowboy boots, and he jumped on two pair. The three of us are living in them. Even at $49 I'm good, but they really should be less and likely will be.
We we have found no issue with durability as have some others. They are Vibram bottoms, and some think that's a mark of durability, ok, if you say so, but they have not worn in any way. After some months of daily use, I'm seeing only very minor and expected pilling of the nylon fabric, no big thing. I really had expected the Velcro to wear out, but it shows no signs of that. Good durability from my view. Remember, they are not leather combat boots!
Furoshiki has made long plane flights a whole lot easier on my embattled pods. After a lot if use, I gave them a gentle wash and they look as good as Day 1. I got them in my size, and the only available fabric color is what you might call garish. For that reason, people do notice them and are seemingly interested in the concept if I show them what I'm wearing.
i wear a US size 11 and am pleased with XL. The former ballerina wife wears a size 6 and was good with a XSM.
Besides being easy to wear around the house, I enjoy driving my 370z, going to an indoor shooting range, grocery shopping...any hard surface. Last week, I visited Roatan Honduras and used them well on hard flat sand and walking through the shallows before taking them off, stuffing them in my pockets, putting on my fins to go SCUBA shore diving, then reversing the process when I finished my dive. Likely they are ill advised for snake country or walking through an automotive junk yard, but at my doddering advanced age, I've learned that one is well advised to dress appropriately for condition, unlike some boneheaded complainers.
In short, this Furoshiki is the Foroshiznitz. (Sorry)

Earl_E_DopterI have nueropathy in both feet. Walking barefoot is very uncomfortable. Liked your review. Is there any padding at all in the shoe?
