HenKihow much should it cost to ship from NJ to Israel? I'd assume that sounds right.

HenKiNj to cali is more expensive than that. But thats just the regular customer pricing for FedEx/ups/DhL. corporates get discounts, so individual shipment from nj to Israel, is a good deal. It's not like they can ship a huge container and have a separate department in Israel to resort the shipment.

Curieux88I ordered several products from massdrop, heavier and bulkier and usaly it was less than 20 $ the klymit ultralight for instance. By the way, whats worng with postal air mail? Cant see any reason why DHL is superior...

HenKiYou're talking about product weight versus shipping weight. A sleeping pads ships in a stuff sack with an envelope around it, so the total added weight is but a few ounces. For whatever reason, nearly all footwear comes in a box (probably easier for stacking and shipping), which adds 4-8 ounces, plus then that box is put into a shipping box, which is another 6-10 ounces. It's also much larger, so sometimes it gets an additional shipping charge for dimensional weight. All this is to say, the total shipping weight for one item can be dramatically different from another item, even if the product weight is roughly the same.
Specifically for the Massdrop x Klymit Ultralight V sleeping pad - we offer free shipping to US and subsidized shipping to international members. So you're unlikely to see shipping that affordable for most any other product that weights 1-2 pounds.
Hope this helps!

CuylarI still believe that shipping quotes are messed up on this site. It costs $19.50 to ship to Canada (Toronto).

DannyMilksThanks for your thorough reply. Any chance for the trek ascent model in the near future?
