Would these work well as deck shoes - actually for paddling and walking (packrafting)?

SlingNot the KMDs. These are more for running or walking. They have textile inner liners that sponge up, and take a while to dry. For that, I use the Flow or the Signa. https://us.vibram.com/shop/fivefingers/men/watersports/

SlingCould you clarify what you mean by "desk shoes"?
Which of the following does this mean, are you... A) Working at a sitting desk for a majority of the time? B) Working at a standing desk for a majority of the time? C) Able to adjust the desk/work surface to support both standing and sitting configurations as needed?

SlingI've used both the Evo, Sport LS, and a version I can't remember the name of... all for Paddling, Hiking/Camping, Biking and Snorkeling. The Sport LS I wore for near 2 years straight while living in Key West: I'd bike to the water, walk into the water, proceed to snorkel around for hours, bike home, and let em dry in the sun. I wore them on boats, into the water, back on the boats and so forth. They are my go-to when Kayaking, and my 2nd set of shoes for backpacking (water crossing, comfort, whatever comes at me). I don't feel like you need the water-sport vibrams to get your usage. I just love the shoe for these style of activities. That being said, if you want them specifically for JUST water sports, I imagine you can't go wrong with that version. As CMFRANK stated: they take a while to dry. Walking in them wet never bothered me, camping or otherwise. I've never had the water sport versions.
