Initially, very positive...
I was very pleased with these shoes when receiving them and for some months afterwards. I walk in them 20-35 miles/week on a mixture of dirt trail, concrete walkway and macadam. They have worn through between the toes in several spots. I've been using them less than six months, and always wear Iniji toes sock with them. Particularly frustrating as I have a pair of 5 fingers around 7 years old with leather uppers and fabric between the toes that I've worn for many hundreds of miles and they don't have this problem. Update, 8 months after purchase (note: they didn't get huge use right away due to weather conditions) The soles are wearing through in two spots on each shoe. I'd guess I've got 5-600 miles on a variety of surfaces. Disappointed. That said, I don't know how long most folks get out of a pair of running shoes; perhaps my expectations (based on my first pair of 5 fingers) are unrealistic.

Mine are still very new with not much mileage. I have several pairs of 5 fingers that I have always used in my running rotation. They do work your feet differently that it is necessary to keep running in these. I wanted this particular pair to share in my trail running rotation. So far, these do have a very good build quality that I can tell. I have one toe box that might be an issue with comfort, so I held one star back.

Light weight and seem to be well made. Will see how long the fabric lasts. Some say in reviews that they fit small so I ordered size 11.5-12 since I usually wear 11-11.5 and I have a wide foot but I could have probably fit into size 10.5-11 shoe easily. So get what ever size you regulary wear and you are probably fine.

Great shoes! It is not my first pair of fivefingers, but defenitely my favourite! The size is a bit different, so you better try them on first. They are so comfortable that they became my winter shoes..

Never worried about the claims of how they benefit runners. I wear them (and wear them out) because they are comfortable.

I love Vibram Five Fingers! I own 5 pairs. But this pair I got through mass drop was weird. Felt like one of them simply wasn't made correctly - the 4th and 5th separation wasn't quite right on the left shoe and hurt my foot. I had to toss them. I'm assuming it was a fluke but I don't know. I haven't tried on the V-trail series at a retailer yet to compare. But other than the pair I got here, I've actually always loved my five fingers.

My regular day to day shoes are 46. But I ordered vibram size 45 and it fits perfect and not too tight these shoes are excellent, I use them for running up to 10 Km on roads/trails/sea-shore. Much more comfortable than the VFF-KSO-EVO I used before.
