According to Victorinox, all of the Airboss Mach 4 watches they manufacture leave their facility with the instruction booklet, and clear plastic covers on both sides of the dial. My watch did not include an instruction book, and did not include the clear plastic cover on the back.
I would like Massdrop to tell us why.
Also, are these watches new, first quality, or are they seconds, B-quality, or anything other than brand new?
And finally, why does Massdrop not offer a warranty (beyond their 30 day period) of some type, on all of their watches?
MassDrop repeatedly refuses to say where they get the watches and how long they have been sitting unused, so we assume most watches, unless otherwise specified, are NOS, or "New Old Stock", meaning new watches that have never been sold and worn. In the case of Victorinox, all the watches I've seen offered here are discontinued models, but still NOS. And every single Victorinox watch that's passed through MassDrop has never included the manufacturers' warranty.
With that said, some brands are offered here with stamped/valid warranty cards, like all Glycine models and some of the Breitling watches that have dropped in the last couple of months. But offering a manufacturer warranty, generally speaking, is the exception and not the rule.
There is no reason MD's sources should remove the operating manual and plastic clings, and sell them to MD as new.
