I was heavily into watches for a long time. God I've spent a LOT of money on watches. People complaining about no warranty on a decent brand, .7750 Chrono for 450$ are pretty much clueless. The msrp is a farce obviously but it's a legit 750$ watch I'd guess.

TragiqueHere's my experience buying the Victorinox Ambassador Cloud de Paris two times... I participated when it dropped the first time last year, and back then it had a one year Massdrop warranty. The first one had a stuttering chrono seconds hand, but MD was able to secure and send a replacement. The second one also had the stuttering issue and they were unable to get a third replacement, so a refund was issued.
Some recent watch drops don't explicitly mention a warranty, either provided by MD or the manufacturer (except on Glycine and Maurice Lacroix watches, which do have manufacturer warranties. At least those are two brands I've seen with manufacturer warranties). In my case with the Ambassador, had there not been the MD one year warranty, I wouldn't had been able to ask for a replacement or refund. Based on the description of this drop, if an issue arises, it seems sales are final and the customer would be stuck paying a repair bill. And servicing an auto chrono calibre is not cheap; will probably cost around $150 to $275.
Thats not being "clueless"; that's being cautious and having the information necessary to make a good purchase decision.

JakeRobertsThanks for the info. Victorinox and MD seem to be having a whale of a time here as there are victorinox drops every other week. But the consumer loses out as they do away with the warranty.
