DJ81These Victorinox watches come from the same place as all our other Victorinox watches. They're not fakes, if that's what you're asking.

Got mine a couple days ago and I'm quite thrilled. The lume isn't nearly as vibrant as some pictures I've seen previous with the black face, but that was never selling point of the watch to me so I'm perfectly ok with it.
Piggybacking off DJ81 though, I don't think there's a whole lot of information about this series simply because it's a discontinued design; the watch face does bear more than a passing resemblance to the current Alliance series so I could see that being an style evolution from this and at least maybe contributes somewhat toward the authenticity (and for what its worth from one of the earlier comments I much prefer this design over the earlier one; something about having just the 2 numbers just gives it a much cleaner and simpler look IMO but to each their own). I'm 99.9% certain massdrop wouldn't have sold a counterfeit product to us (buyer beware of course), but on the other hand a lack of available information plus an unstamped certificate is naturally going to lead to some questions.

DJ81Seems not, the warranty card and retailers stamp in the included book are unmarked which I've noticed in the comments on quite a few past watch drops on here (notably including Victorinox); unless one of those two items is what Victorinox normally uses as the certificate which even then unmarked doesn't help settle anything.

Just got the watch. Absolutely beautiful! Great weight, wonderful bracelet. Got the black dial with bracelet and I am blown away by the quality for the value. The current watch on Amazon is $875 + $18.50 shipping! Second watch from Massdrop and looking forward to buying more!

Bulk order shipped! The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive on 8/12.

Yep, lug width is 21mm but if you going to change out the band with a leather one and don't have or can't find a 21mm band, you would be better off going up to a 22mm than down to a 20mm. Going down is likely to leave a small unsightly gap whereas you can usually squeeze the 22mm into a 21mm space without issue. Obivously, find a 21mm if you can.
For me, I like this band. I just can't decide between the black and the silver designs. Argh. I'm leaning toward the black though. Would be the first swiss-made addition to my collection too :) :)

From memory the watch takes a 22mm band. Not sure as my two watches are in Ohio and I am in Florida. Will be back in Ohio about when drop ends and will try to advise. Yes the ETA 2834 does hack and can be regulated by any watchmaker to at least 5 seconds per day. Servicing which is usually required about every fifth year should be under $200.00. With the synthetic oils now in use you might get 10 years. You know when it starts to gain or loose time that the oils are drying out. This 25j movement is known to almost every watchmaker and easy to service. It is a movement based on the 2824 which is ETA's most common movement and used by hundreds of companies(until the Swatch Group cut most of them off). Most owners like the full day at the top, like the Rolex day/date(president series).
