I got the watch extremely quickly in July 2016. It worked fine for about 2 months and then started losing time. I took it to the Victorinox outlet to be fixed under warranty. Not surprisingly, the product that we received was sold by an unauthorized seller. If I want to fix the watch, I need to pay 250 for part (the movement) and labor. I was also told that, based on the serial number, the watch was 3 or more years old and thus outside most warranties anyway. Needless to say, I don't see myself participating in another drop.

dosabogado1This is so typical of the watch industry and part of the reason why they are failing so bad. You should take your watch to a repair shop and get it fixed. The movement on this watch costs $60 online to completely replace and you could probably find it even cheaper. The total cost of the repair should be less than $125.
I know repairing a new watch for this price is not ideal. My comment is much more about how Victorinox are a bunch of idiots to lose a chance to have you as a loyal customer by not providing you with service just b/c you bought this watch at a discount.

dosabogado1Being three years old doesn't take it out of warranty; a warranty runs from date of sale, not date of manufacture.
