The size and thickness of the watch communicate ruggedness, the sort of image that you want when you are timing sporting events, the principal function of a chronograph. I got mine the day before yesterday, and was shocked to discover that the watch was defective. I contact Massdrop, described the defect to them, and they immediately responded, offering me the option of a refund or exchange. Now that's ethical and honest dealing, and I think Massdrop is deserving of high praise for the way they handled this. On the other hand, I was shocked that a watch with such an obvious operating defect slipped past QC at Victorinox. Incidentally, I was so dismayed and disappointed, that I opted for the refund. Even with another watch, which Massdrop was certainly willing to do, everytime I'd look at it I'd remember what happened. I need the buffer of a bit of time and then I'll try again, perhaps even the same watch if Massdrop offers it.
