Finally received the watch. I love the size and the color of the dial. I'd give it 4 stars, but I need to take a whole star off for the strap. I hate it. I knew I'd hate it, though, so I ordered a canvas strap (see link below) in a beautiful green to match the dial. I love the look. It's a 22mm and it fits well, although I had to take the spring bars from the original strap, since the 22mm ones weren't quite long enough. I also bought another leather strap (see link below) in 24mm. It fits, but you need good wrists.
EDIT: After a few weeks of owning this watch. I have to say that I don't wear it often, or almost at all. The proportion of a 24mm strap on a 40mm watch is completly off. I don't know watch Victorinox was thinking making this case... 24mm is way too large.

I absolutely love this watch! It was my first Massdrop watch and now 4 Victorinox watches later... I've become a watch addict. I love the clean and clear vintage looking numbers on this Vicrorinox. It is a perfect size. Its black strap color matches its black face perfectly. The leather looks and feels great to wear and the watch is super easy to see in the dark. The watch is great. It’s actually used to for Railroad work, and hasn’t been needed to be adjusted in months. Easy to see at night And does not have a monster face. The band gave me a rash.

Wonderful watch, accurate time keeping, love the vintage face and hands, nicely detailed leather band that extends past the buckle giving a nice effect of all leather around the wrist, BUT the band is rather SHORT. I don't believe I have extraordinarily large wrists but I can barely get to the second hole of the band and the band barely fits under the keeper. If the band were a bit longer this would easily be a five star keeper. BTW, just because the band is a bit short isn't keeping from wearing this piece frequently!
