This watch is much better than I anticipated. I have many quality and high-end watches, but this Victorinox is one of the best values in ever. It runs smoothly and keeps time; I don't have to baby-sit this one. Love the day at 12 o'clock and the lume is bright. The face is large and easy to read. Unlike many large watches today, it rides low enough on the wrist to easily slide under my sleeve cuff. I appreciate the green face, but wish I had also gotten the black face (green face doesn't go with everything) and could get it with a blue face. Just waiting for this to drop again.

duke_headbreakerAgree, this watch was a borderline purchase but is nicer than I anticipated. One detail not visible in the photos is decorative radial fluting in the 12 hour tract. This is very subtle even in hand, but contributs to the look of quality. Day and date changes are on the hour and completed quickly. Accuracy was running about 2+ sec a day, but it got magnetized by a magnetic shop light while working on my car. Started running about 30 sec. fast. Have demagnetized but still running about 9 sec fast now. I really love this watch. Will try further demag when it settles down to see if I can recover the very accurate time keeping. This is a great buy and looks great on a nato with beige or tan accents to match the dial colors.

black is out of stock.. why is the green one not receiving as much love here? I would have thought the green one will be the more popular one being in keeping with the military tradition of victorinox!

Where are people seeing that this is shipped by DHL, and that there is import duties & taxes if shipping to the US? I see that it clearly says "Free shipping to: (insert American flag here)". Am I missing something? I even went all the way to the payment screen and the total for me was still showing $249.99. Is this something that they hit you with later? If so, that's not cool to leave that little tidbit out of the description...

scubalabUSA orders will not have any import fees or tarriffs. Our orders are shipping from inside the country. Only those in high tax nations (e.g. Canada) will be hit with these governmental fees because the item originates from outside their border.

scubalabNo import duties with shipping to US, but DHL sucks. Did I mention that DHL SUCKS! And not to belabor the point, but DHL sucks. On the positive side, this is a pretty solid watch and price.

Do we have to pay this DHL tax if the watch is shipping to the US?

YankchefThe DHL fee in the photo below is for Canadian Customs Fees (not a fee by DHL) required by the Canadian Government for importing the item. We here in the USA do not have to worry about import taxes, as the item is shipping from inside the country.

GenkoIf it's anything like the Victorinox Infantry quartz I got last Thanksgiving on MD, it's beautiful. On mine (no day window at 12 o'clock), each numeral is lumed and the edges are crisp, the lume is even, and man, does it pop in darkness. It is the nicest lume dial in my collection.

Beware of buying from Canada. Seems like Massdrop uses DHL as a customs broker, so you get hit with customs charges as well as a service charge which is paid to DHL.
As a new of the previous posts state, you're probably better off going through Amazon, jomashop, worldorwatches or longislandwatch for the majority the watches that Massdrop offers, because once you factor in the exchange and then add duty/taxes you're probably further behind with a Massdrop "deal"

Massdrop tried DHL a year or two ago for the US as well. It was a disaster.
I feel for you Canuks on this one. I guess it's the price you pay for your other advantages ;)

got mine in Aug 2017 from massdrop, for $430, love it, worth every penny. there is also a quartz version of this for a lot less, but $250 for an automatic is a steal!

They didn't just rip off the Hamilton-style day complication, they ripped off the font.

I'm a sucker for VSA mechanical watches, having owned and still owning lots of them. This is a very good price; the next lowest price I could find is on Amazon, for $50 more. However, Amazon offers their warranty and is a more reputable source, by any standard. Plus, there's no waiting for shipment.
For some reason, Massdrop never offers any kind of warranty on VSA watches. This makes buying VSA watches here a difficult choice, even though I've taken the chance and ordered several from Massdrop, because they were so attractively priced.
The plain bezel and cheap looking bracelet on this watch are a turn-off, at least for me. Nevertheless, if the lack of a warranty doesn't bother you, and if you like the style, this is an excellent value, especially (in my opinion) the green dialed version.

cgalnyI agree with you on all points. I almost jumped on this because it's a good price for ETA movement but the lack of warranty sucks. Additionally I have to pay about 20 dollars in tac because of where I live, and wait weeks for shipment because of how MD works . If I wanted this watch THAT badly I'd take the $30 hit and just buy from Amazon for quicker shipping and included warranty. Otherwise a fine watch.
