Photo of the Pioneer in black shows a file in place of the reamer. Is this accurate? Will the black Pioneer have a file in place of the reamer?

BigDealGood catch, looks shorter as well, so it must be the Cadet. Google image search suggests this is a pre-existing photo that Massdrop must've used by mistake.
The other photo with the plain and black together shows the black Pioneer.
EDIT: but in that photo it looks like the shield is different on the plain one... huh?

awkThe funny shield seems to be on swiss army knives that are for the actual Swiss Army. Still made by victorinox, though. Edit: Wikipedia says it's the Swiss coat of arms.

I have a Pioneer X in my pocket right now. The scissors are my favorite SAK tool.

PS: I have the "X" model with scissors, didn't know if that's what you meant.
FYI looks like one of the thinnest with a can opener is the (possibly discontinued) Bantam Alox, at around 6mm thick.
awkthank you. Your dimensions were precisely what i was looking for.
