good but not great
I bought this purely as a travel knife - to cut fruits in hotel rooms, open wine bottles (many hotels don't provide wine openers), etc. And I have a soft spot for button lock knives :-). The knife is packed above-average for a victorinox, with a leather case in the usual kind of box. The leather is a bit old - needed to oil it to bring back the shine, but that's probably going to help in looking after the knife as well. The blade is sharp out of the box - good enough to cut cleanly through fruits (skins are tough, and if the knife is blunt, it crushes the flesh of the fruit below). The wine opener works as expected. Would not be my preferred opener but good to have it when you need it. The knife locking mechanism needed a bit of lubrication as well (food safe mineral oil) but now works well. At the end of the day, I use it only when I travel and don't feel like taking it out any other time, so that's probably my subjective value of it :-) The main advantage over the swiss army knife is that the blade is a decent length for cutting fruits.

Great knife and bottle opener, with a caveat
I'm a total wino who also likes to carry a knife for EDC. This seemed perfect! It's a little bigger than expected, but that's OK. The main issue I have with it is that there's no clip on the knife for clipping it to a pocket, so it floats around in the bottom of a pocket instead. You'd think the included sheath would address this, but the sheath does not have a belt loop either, so it's literally just a storage case, it doesn't have any utility as a carrying case. I'm currently researching pocket clips to add to it, and once I do it might actually find its way into my EDC rotation. But until then I have smaller, more convenient knives I turn to. So far I've only used this knife when it was the first one I saw around the house, and I actually haven't used the corkscrew at all since it lives exclusively at home where I have superior, dedicated options to open wine.

Great quality knife and bottle opener
I wanted this knife so bad, to replace my old Victorinox which I use in travels all the time. Great quality knife. I really like wooden handles, good cork screw and nice look. Blade shape is a bit strange and sharpened portion ends unexpectedly far from handle. On bad side I can say that this knife is too big to be pocket friendly and a case is missing belt attachment options. On a worst side of things is that we are all grounded now and cant't travel and I don't really need it at home. So not recommending this excellent product as it is quite useless. Or maybe if you go to picnic (somewhere with no people) with bottle of wine then sure it will help.

Quality and Class
If you are looking for the most budget friendly options for opening wine and slicing cheese then this ain't it. It's a luxury item. With that said, it is just as classy and functional as you'd expect. Something to keep at your house by the mini-bar or the ultimate picnic accessory, it is everything you'd need. The blade comes out smoothly and locks securely. It is sharp and slicey, and the cant of the blade and the long handle makes it pretty comfortable for food processing. Lock-up is solid and the "shield liner lock" works fine. The leather pouch is also very nice, I wouldn't have minded a belt loop, but this really isn't meant to be an EDC item. With that said, if you wanted to put a lanyard on it or just put it in your pocket like most of the rest of the classic Victorinox line, it's all the blade you'd need in most cases, but it isn't designed for prying or "working" hard and why would you do that to such a nice piece? -If you buy it and use it for what it was designed for it will shine. Plenty of other $40 D2 workhorses out there to get outdoor chores done or open boxes.

Albeit on the heavy side of category, this wine tool is sturdily constructed and ensure user to handle the most firmly cork ever. The blade is a real usable 4” blade, a true bonus to this wine tool. I cannot go back to those generic corkscrews anymore.

Love this bartender's knife. Works well and lovely to look at. I wish the case had a belt loop for those functions when I use this in an outdoor environment and am reluctant to just set it down. Otherwise a beautiful and functional tool.

The best of three worlds. A general camping knife/ cheese knife/wine bottle opener all rolled into a beautiful olive wood presentation knife. A camper in the woods or a wine steward in a 5 star Michelin restaurant would be proud to own this Swiss masterpiece.
