Oh my god, 16 MILLION colors? That's crazy!!!!!!.... =P
Sorry to be pedantic, I just hate when companies go off about "1000000000:1 contrast ratio", and I always point that out,so I think it's fair that I do the same here.
I'd like to remind potential buyers that "16 million colors" = 8-bit color, which is in no way shape or form special. Actually, most monitors are 8, 10, or 12 bit color. 12 would be very rare (and likely not that useful) on a gaming monitor, but 10-bit is definitely around, and displays so many more colors. I have moved windows from 8 to 10 bit panels back and forth, and found that the color of blue was a totally different shade than I thought it was, because my 8-bit color panel couldn't display it before.
This is like saying, "this panel uses new Thin-Film Transistor technology for a better picture!!!" Just as LCDs are going to be TFT, LCDs are always going to be 8-bit color or better.
Since this is a gaming monitor, it is completely and totally expected that you sacrifice on resolution (easier to drive higher framerates from gpu) and picture quality. The perfect competitive gaming monitor, and the perfect adventure gaming monitor are total opposites, and, unfortunately, are mutually exclusive.
This isn't a knock against it per se, though I would assume there are plenty of people selling very fast monitors with 10-bit color, which is a lot more "modern". My real concern here was just making sure nobody saw "16 million colors" and thought, "wow, they sure put a lot of colors in this thing!"
Don't worry Massdrop, I know you have to market things, and I don't envy getting picked apart by people like me all the time...but it's important that the descriptions here be as straight-forward and truthful as possible. It's one of the main reasons I continue to use this site. If I see something talked about as being awesome in the description, it generally turns out to be. Don't abuse that! ^_^

Seelento my knowledge, if you want 240 hz, they only exist in Tn panels, and all the brands are using the same panel. So if you want 240, there is not much to choose from really
