I have a Nvidia video card, how will freesync work with it? Also does this monitor have the crosshairs to aim with in FPS games that don't have them built in?

CCW1911Freesync will not work with your card, you will need to find a G-sync monitor if you want to use framerate syncing. Or else it will just work like a normal 240hz monitor.
