One of these days, Massdrop has to run a good G-Sync monitor. As a Nvidia user who has been open to an upgrade for a while now, it's unfortunate that it looks like I'll _never_ buy a monitor from Massdrop.
The fact that Massdrop drops 1080ti graphics cards, LG OLED TVs, and $900 TOTL in-ear monitors, while cheaping out with exclusively FreeSync monitors demonstrates a baffling degree of market and customer ignorance on the part of Massdrop's product managers.

junkiEssentially: Nvidia charges outrageous fees for a monitor to support G-sync.
This results in the Profit V. Investment ratio to get extremely scary for companies like us (companies that focus on consumer response, agility, and flexibility). Since they will cost an extra ~$200 per monitor (without any increase in profit) the only way to justify it is a HUGE increase in volume.
TL:DR
We would need forecast data to show a huge sales-volume increase by adding G-sync.

ViotekUSAI understand you must operate within the parameters of your business and invest in products from which you can forecast solid ROI. There is nothing wrong with this specific monitor.
I was addressing Massdrop and its incoherent offerings given the suite of drops across a few different communities and the fact that this website does retain an enthusiast segment.

ViotekUSAI would buy this monitor if it were $200 more if it included G-Sync. Just sayin, you might be underestimating the demand for curved, 1440p, 144hz, 16:9, 3ms, 30+ inch displays.

GrinnThis is discussed regularly (literally: this morning with the VP).
We are in this for the long-haul and would enjoy disrupting the G-sync market as well :) .
As we move forward; expect new product lines, steady improvements on our existing lines (using your feedback), Better GUI/OSD, and new features!
I can assure you we are not purposely ignoring that market segment and will continue to work diligently to supplythe products you want!

ViotekUSAAgain, your attention to your customer base is unparalleled, keep that up and the people will follow. You all seem like you care about your product and the quality you provide to your customers.
I await your entry into the g-sync market. The people who are looking for a g-sync with those specs are willing to pay the premium for superior tech.
Love your products, even bought the gold monitor that was up earlier, tho I had to give it to my gf due to the vesa mounts being all sorts of difficult to work with.. regardless, you have my attention, Viotek, hope the long-haul is in it for you as well.
