I was impatient and bought this on amazon a few weeks back. Curses!! I could have saved $100 here.
I am having a weird problem with the monitor though. When I set the refresh to over 60hz, after a while it will start going black for maybe a second or two before resetting.
So, I set a higher refresh rate in either the desktop or a game like Battlefield and everything seems fine. Then after a while (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes an hour) the screen just goes blank for a second or two, then it starts doing this once every minute or two.
This is not awesome when playing a FPS game.
Anyone have an Idea what the problem might be? (I'm running my desktop through a DP cable from my nvidia GTX 970, but my laptop has the same problem at higher refresh rates through its DP interface)
Other than that, this monitor is GLORIOUS!!!! Fantastic in literally every (other) way, (ok, the OSD could be better... whatever)
ViotekUSAThanks for the reply. Same cable from the box, but I am going through a DP KVM. I wonder if that's the issue.
I'll try a new cable directly to the PC (which is the only time I need high refresh rates). I'll post back with results.
ViotekUSAHello, i bought a monitor. these look great, What is the "Over Drive" Feature? would it be the same thing as Overclocking a GPU but for a monitor?
AngelisdevilKinda, however OD can have negative side affects aside from additional heat.
Over drive speeds up the crystal rotation time by upping the voltage beyond the standard operating potential.
It is off by default as it does potentially increase ghosting (actually inverse-ghosting or "halos") and screen-tearing without Freesync enabled ESPECIALLY with low-end cards(depending on MANY factors centered mainly around your GPU).
Speeding up the rotation time can actually cause issues in some cases nearly as bad as slow rotation times (colloquially pre-ghosting or inverse-ghosting).
However, with a top-end card, high refresh rates, and Freesync enabled; OD is ideal and generally has very few negative side effects
Blurbusters actually does a great job explaining the affects of overdrive HERE:

AngelisdevilI would personally consider it high-end.
I (arbitrarily mind you) consider high-end at about the VR-capable cards and up.
"High-end" is extremely subjective especially when you consider the range of people that I need to be able to speak to and communicate with (in the industry V. Hard-core PC fans V. PC gamers V. casual gamers V. regular people [budget gamers] ).
Our 1070 test PC has OD set to ON permanently and we do not have issues.
We turn it OFF but only for sandbox testing.
ViotekUSAYep, it's likely my KVM.
I tried a good DP cable directly and no issues at all.
This means your monitor is absolutely perfect. (okay, the OSD could use work, but still... fantastic monitor!!)
LeeDotyYes, we are working on new hardware that will improve our OSD.
We certainly could cut down 2 (or more ) button clicks for changing inputs as well as streamlining some of the other features.
We are always working on making our products exceed your expectations and we truly appreciate your feedback!

NejkooDuh. I'd imagine 70% of gamers do. Freesync monitors are so much cheaper and Nvidia GPUs are so much better. (unfortunately right now)
...and if you're running at a stable 144hz like I do, FreeSync/GSync is completely irrelevant.
Other than that, this monitor is GLORIOUS!!!! Fantastic in literally every (other) way, (ok, the OSD could be better... whatever)
