Save your money and buy a 27" 144hz 2k panel. At roughly 2 feet you will see the pixels on this monitor. My MG278Q has a PPI of 109 while being 27". This has 69 PPI on a 32" panel.

Hi. Looking for a 24 or 27 inch monitor with vesa mounting for less than 250. IPS is a requirement because it would be serving as a secondary display, but greater than 60hz would be greatly appreciated.
Currently rocking a 27 inch dell ultra sharp from 2015. It has a 1440p resolution with a 60hz refresh rate. Hoping to get a screen that I can either have YouTube, chrome, or discord on while I work or play games with my friends. Also thinking of adding a laptop stand to the mix to make the ultimate triple monitor setup. Color accuracy doesn't need to be amazing, just not shit. I don't need TN level responsiveness, but also hate LG TV levels of input lag.
Would greatly appreciate any help in my search for the right monitor, and suggestions on alternative setups (IE 2 27 inch monitors side by side) would also be helpful.

The biggest thing that kills this monitor for me is the lack of vesa mounting. They clearly had more than enough room on the back of the chassis considering how thick the thing is. But I guess it becomes less of a problem when you realize people will use this as a primary display.

Honestly a 85% NTSC monitor makes much more sense than, say, a 72% one that populates the market these days. I have a 72% one my self, the Acer ED273A 144Hz and I can tell you the color is among the worst I've ever seen. I don't expect it to have great colors but this thing is flat out garbage. Returned it for a Sceptre C275B, same thing. GARBAGE color. My friend has the MSI AG32C which uses the same panel as this drop, and it has much, much better color. 13% might not sound like a big difference but indeed it is.
Still waiting for MPG27C tho, that thing claims to have 100%NTSC coverage. Hmmmm, I wonder how vibrant it can get.

If you are complaining about a large 1080p 144hz monitor this drop isn't meant for you. At an entry level, running the latest games at high resolutions and higher refresh rates at the same time is out of reach of most consumers. and getting into higher refresh refresh rates is much more important than getting a panel with a larger resolution.
Shitting on a product for appealing to entry level consumers makes zero sense.

palozonMaybe making a 1080p 32" screen is what makes zero sense? If your priority is refresh rate, and not resolution, you can settle for a 1080p screen, but then there is no need to make it so huge (32") that the pixel size is needlessly magnified.

palozon Hey. I have a 1440p 60hz panel that suits most of my needs. It is a slightly older dell ultra-sharp monitor, so it has all of the display inputs known to man. However, after having used my laptop with it to achieve a dual monitor setup, I miss it on my more powerful desktop.
Can I buy a good 24-27 inch for less than $250? High refresh rates would be appreciated, but not required, and I don't need amazing color accuracy, but TN is unsuitable for multi monitor setups. 1080p is just fine. I just need a good product that wont break the bank and doesn't scream "GAMER PLEASE STEAL ME!" to everyone else in the dorm.
Open to any suggestions with a multi monitor setup, but I'm thinking of using either two 27 inch monitors, or my main 27 inch, with a 24 inch off to the side.
Thank you for your time, Ethan

If all the same specs and was 4K, I'd be interested. Monitor market is way too expensive for what you get based on the age of the technology.

Uh... No... I don't like being screwed. I don't understand why you people are so willing so spend $1,599 on a product that cost them $159 to make...

No way I'd want a 32 inch 1080p monitor... At about an arms length away that would be pretty pixelated. If I'm going that big I'd need 4k. It would probably be a fine monitor for everyday use or viewing from a distance, but not for PC gaming.
