Hey guys I have a couple of questions about this monitor (I'v browsed the comments below and haven't seen them addressed already).
1) Will you guys ship to and support (warranty wise) to Australia
2) Is this monitor older than the 1800R that previously dropped a couple of weeks ago and are there any differences between the two (apart from cosmetics).

TheExodusYes, This monitor has a slightly higher response time of 4ms w/OD activated and 8ms without.
1) We would require a US address to offer warranty support outside of the US, Canada, UK, and the EU.
I will need to contact our shipping department to understand the process. They are off today (Saturday)_ and should be able to follow up Monday/Tuesday.
I am in R&D and not very involved in the logistics and shipping process.

TheExodusAs a follow up:
We ship to wherever Massdrop tells us to ship and they supply shipping labels for our Australian (and non-contiguous United States orders).
While previous orders went international UPS, the shipping method will be determined by Massdrop.

As always, with any other questions; I am available!

ViotekUSAHi, for EU customers is crucial information, where is package coming from.
If you have some storage in EU and could send from EU to EU, it would be superb and I would happily order one :). Otherwise, It'll be +21% and a ton of paperwork and additional fees (I'm from CZ). Maybe UPS has some way to handle this, so customer doesn't need to care (probably for some pre-paid fee)?
If it will be shipped from US as someone stated here (somewhere in discussion), it would be nice not to show 0,- as tax in checkout, but something like "*You might pay some additional fees later, which depends on your destination country. Package will be shipped from xxxx by yyyy shipping method."
So can you ship something from EU or can UPS handle this country-specific import fees for us(EU customers) ? Do you have any feedback how it went for EU customers with shipping and additionals fees from previous drop?
Thanks :)

czheroIt will be shipped from the Viotek US warehouse in South Bend, Indiana.
I doubt Massdrop has any methods of avoiding VAT as the EU takes smuggling products very seriously.
You will be required to pay VAT upon arrival, that is unavoidable and would seem to be a normal part of ordering things from outside the EU, while living in the EU.
Viotek will put the full retail value on the declaration sheet and is unable to make exceptions. VAT policies of your country will be applied to every Viotek shipping product.

ViotekUSANice :) Thanks :). Btw ... I'm used for ebay's global shipping program, so I pay everything upfront and no worries with fees later :). Would be awesome to have same service here :).

ViotekUSAHi Viviotek. Just based on your responsiveness alone I'd be keen to buy this monitor if I was in real need of one. However I'm holding out for an ultrawide 1440p with 144Hz and ideally HDR.. Since you're in R&D is that in the pipeline? Size would have to be 30"+
Thanks!

Airbag8881440P, 144Hz; YES!
HDR; Possibly, In the future of 2nd/3rd gen content creation and HDR support.
HDR is still considered its 1st gen (content and tech), so to be frank, there is a large possibility it will not stand the test of time.
We are expanding our color pallattes and looking into better color recreation using more updated color standards (like Adobe RGB). We understand color is important and our VA panels can get more appealing and vibrant colors, so we are working to that end (improving what we already have).
However, our R&D runs extremely fast and if we decided to make a run into HDR; the time between the decision and the panel being available is very short (relatively speaking).
