I have this system my stones came cracked and the angle guide is had because of the guide screw moving up and down as apposed to being fixed my stones were softer than my knife steel so I ended up shaving my stones instead of sharpening my knives would not recommend this product

abstarCracked stones - Under warranty. I'll replace them. This was a shipping issue that has been addressed and everyone who contacted me about it got replacement stones right away. Things get beat up in shipping but since adjusting how I pack things I have not had any issues with the stones breaking.
The guide screw is fixed so I can only assume you mean the height adjustable post that moves up and down. I'd love to understand more about the concern there so I can address it.
Stones softer than knife steel -With super hard steels that is certainly going to be an issue. I have had a lot of requests for diamond and I am getting all that in the works and will offer them at the lowest possible price to all current customers first.

1stmeridianYeah it was only a issue with my s35vn steel knives I'm going to buy more stones for it as shipping times cost etc is longer than sending it back etc the guide pin I have tightened it down but I found with bigger knives it can't reach the whole way so I have to loosen it and it moves up and down as a result

1stmeridianYeah mate I'm going to give it another shot it's not a bad system I think with better stones diamond etc it's easy to use can put a razor sharp edge on knives although a strop is needed to get the best edge the one I have didn't come with one but no biggie

abstarI'll tell you what, I'll throw in a free strop if you help with the diamond kickstarter. In fact if you have stones that were broken in shipping send me an email about it and I'll send replacements and send a strop out with those.

abstarI'm not sure you've ever contacted a manufacturer before.
They cover shipping damages. And even if they don't, it's no testament to the device.

HellreaverI understand that I've used it and it does work well with certain steels it can be approved apon but that doesn't mean it's not good

HellreaverI have used similar kits personally I prefer this one the nob at the top is a big plus easy to use like my kitchen knives are scary sharp lol
