Product Description
The Visconti Traveling Inkwell gives you an easy, low-profile way of taking your favorite ink on the road. Conveniently refill your fountain pen by pressing the grip section inside the the inkwell's tapered wall and turning the inkwell upside-down to take a full draw of ink Read More
Was kind of nifty when originally introduced (actually things like it have been around quite a while), but in the final analysis it's a dingus geared to a pretty narrow slice of reality and it's awfully expensive to boot. Considering the IQs of fountain pen users are 200 to 300 percent above those of non-users, I'm sure we can all find alternative solutions ;- )
I feel the twsbi vac20 ink bottle is a much better option. Works with regular pens as well as the twsbi vac.

It's astonishing there is absolutely no information on ink capacity other than "large volume". What do MD editors consider large volume? Personally I consider 65 liters to be a large volume. I consider this to be very important information since drop is for traveling inkwell and knowing this would allow you to better plan your trips.
All that said, I am not sold on this inkwell at this price. Carrying one of the higher quality bottles, like 15ml Iroshizuku ones, is by far cheaper and easier, especially considering you can get these empty from GouletPens for couple of dollars.
BTW, I see in the description it says not to be used with a vacuum filler, this is actually not true I own two of the Visconti Inkwells and fill my Visconti power vacuum filler with the Inkwell all the time. Here on the Visconti website they explain how to use the Inkwell to fill a power vacuum filler pen:

oncoendoYou can, but you do need to be careful. you need to build up the vacuum in the pen prior to inserting into the inkwell. once you put the pen in the inkwell, there is an airtight seal. If you then squeeze the bladder what you're doing is you're expelling the air from the bladder. This air pressure goes into the inkwell, it has nowhere to go and then it will push the pen out and probably some ink with it.
So the solution is that you squeeze the bladder first, or somehow has the pen built up the vacuum already, insert into the inkwell, tip up and then release. Just don't squeeze the bladder while sealed in the inkwell
