Hmmm...
I started thinking about something like this while I was reading through the J. Herbin 1670 thread and they talked about keeping a smaller vial of ink so as not to open the main bottle as often.
Decent reviews on FPN ( http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/196090-traveling-ink-well/ ), however they, like I, were less than enchanted by the price. An excellent point was articulated, however, it doesn't make sense to spend $250+ on a FP, another $50+ on ink, and then $0.50 on an inkwell (Nalgene bottles were the recommended cheap-o alternative).
My main concern is the prominent Visconti branding. I've never been a fan of their pens (nothing functional, just don't like the look) and having their accessories seems, incongruent. That, and these are about twice as long as what I would like.
I do like the look and ability to actually see the ink as opposed to some of the vintage traveling inkwells ( https://www.etsy.com/market/travel_inkwell ). In the end, maybe a nice apothecary's vial would work well for my purposes.
