I’ve been wanting to raise bees for the past several years, at least that has been my plan... And, what do you know, on MASSDROP, of all places, I come across BEEHIVES!! I’m in on this ‘drop for 3 of them!!! Oh, and BTW, I’m allergic to bee stings!! May the Gods of Bees be kind to me, for I promise to nurture and take care of one of the most important living things we have on the planet!! UPDATE 11-04-2019: Well, it’s been an exciting first season at raising bees. A day of learning every day!! While the main goal was to raise a healthy and abundant brood of bees, intention was not to prioritize honey production. Ended up with a very nice supply of honey, and four hives full of bees and a supply of food for them for the winter. We need all we con do to make it through winters in northeast (Door County) Wisconsin. We are now planning for at least 2 additional hives. I was stung only twice, with surprisingly only a mild reaction :)
