Does this have a grommet-mount option (i.e., a bolt that goes through a grommet in the desk, with a plate and nut on the bottom for stability). I went that route for my current stand, and love it.

jalvaniI can't confirm, 100% however according to the manufacturers site it does. https://vivo-us.com/products/stand-v002d
They also say it only supports up to 27" and it looks like Massdrop tested it with larger monitors and it worked without issue.

That is true that is what they have listed on their site. However if you check the drop page we shot this arm with two LG 29" Ultra Widescreen monitors they weigh 14lbs each and this arm had no problem supporting them. In fact after the photo shoot I placed a LG 34" Ultrawide on one arm and the LG 29" Ultrawide on the other and still worked with no issues. As you can see here https://www.massdrop.com/buy/kanto-dmg1000-single-monitor-arm The single arm is shown with the LG 34" 18lbs monitor. The dual arms are the same as the single. The manufacturers always play it on the safe side and most arms can support almost twice the weight that they advertise they are capable of.
