ArashiI have an LG 34UM68-P which is spec'd at 17.6 lbs. Would love confirmation if this mount is compatible!

sgnlIn the pictures for Vivo's other product, it looks like they're demo'ing it with 34" LG monitors: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/vivo-dual-monitor-desk-mount
confirmation would be ideal still though, 👌

sgnlHowdy All,
The Single monitor mount has the LG 34UM94-P. It is a 34" Ultrawide monitor weighing in at 14.8lbs as tested and photographed for this drop. http://www.lg.com/us/business/commercial-display/it-products/desktop-monitors/lg-34UM94-P
The Dual monitor mount has two of the LG 29UB67-B. They are 29" Ultrawide monitors weighing in at 13.9lbs each and was also tested and photographed for this drop. http://www.lg.com/us/business/commercial-display/it-products/desktop-monitors/lg-29UB67-B
Almost two years later now those exact monitors are still being used on those same mounts at someones desk here in the office. I have not had any complaints or problems with them at all. The vendors will always play it safe on the size/weight that monitor stands are capable of.
@arishi You mentioned the 34UC88. The weight of that monitor without the stand is actually 13.67lbs. It is not listed on the US site, I am not sure why. But you can find the weight without the stand listed on the UK site as 6.2kg equaling 13.67lbs. http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-34UC88
That being said you should be fine to use this mount with the 34UC88 as it is under the tested weight done here at Massdrop over the last 2 years of 14.8lbs.
Lastly, @sgnl You mentioned the dual mount supporting two 34" monitors. While the actual arms can support the weight I do not think there would be enough clearance between the to arms for them to actually fit so I do not think that it will work.
Let me know if you have any more questions and as always feel free to tag me in any post @B.Hutch.
Cheers.

Tex-Arozzithanks! I found my monitor on the UK LG site and saw that the monitor is compatible without the stand weight-wise. Just placed an order, 👌

sgnlWhat happened? Why did it not work? There are the same size monitors here in the office that are actually heavier than yours and they are working. Sorry to hear this...

Tex-ArozziI have an LG 34UM68 - PF monitor that I thought would work but it seemed to be too heavy.
(I didn't notice the "F" until just now, I stated earlier that I had just the "P" model as that's what my amazon invoice said)

sgnlThats my concern. That is the same model/monitor that we discussed before your purchase. Its lighter in weight than monitors we currently have mounted to the product that you purchased.

Tex-ArozziWhat's odd for me is that the box for my mount has different specifications for compatibility on the box that it came in. States "compatible for 13" - 27" whereas the Product Page has "Holds screens up to 34". I just assumed I wasn't paying attention and bought the wrong item. 😇 (the weight specs match which I thought would be the only thing that really matters)

sgnlMassdrop has put the 34" size on the drop specs as we have tested it here in house and we know that it works. The photos in the drop page show that. Have you tried to mount your monitor yet? Have you adjusted the tension on it to the max so that it will support the weight?

Tex-ArozziThe tension nut was stuck! Out of frustration I gave it a whack and it cracked right open open. 🙌🏽
previous it would only give me like 1 and a half turns. After the release, it's supporting my monitor as expected.

Tex-ArozziI have, now, two Vivo monitor mounts (different model), and I feel monitor weight is the most important factor for consideration. I am able to use it with my 21.5" iMac! That may not sound like much screen size, but consider the weight of the aluminum and all-in-one computer design, and it seems like quite a feat! The tension screw on my second (iMac) arm was also so tight that I REALLY had to force it (was just about to grab a ring wrench to extend the leverage) to make the screw move, but now the screw adjusts fine and there is no downward-drift of my iMac!

Sometimes, having two free-adjusting monitors feels like the mission briefing screens from the original Starcraft Terran missions, and my attention span can only handle one screen at a time (though, feasibly, I could use both plus my iPad using the app Duet Display), but ergonomically the first one was a revelation, and I'll never use standard monitor feet again!
