How much horizontal overhang on the desk edge is required for the C-clamp? My firm provided me with this lovely big hardwood desk but it dates to the typewriter era and might not have enough of a ledge to clamp on to. :)
WigdaddyThe clamp protrudes about 3.5 inches over the edge of your desk. Just make sure your desk is sturdy enough to support 2 monitors, composite wood would most likely crack/break. My desk is only .75 inches in width, but its a pretty solid piece of wood and I've had zero issues so far with two 27' monitors. I would definitely recommend the dual stand :)
HuzaifaI got mine a few days ago and installed it just fine. It needs just 2 inches of overhang for hardwood, though you'll probably want three or four if your desk is made of a weaker material.
WigdaddyYeah I contacted the manufacturer for this information, can confirm it and a majority of their c clamp based mounts need 2 inches underneath although they recommend more. Just gonna leave this here in case anyone needs it.
SrZarateThat is the exact model of my second monitor, so yes I think it will work :)
The only issue you may run into is adjusting your second monitor to your desired angle/position. Because the monitors are 27inch and the bezels on the VS278Q-P are kinda large, it is hard to angle the second monitor past a certain point since it will rub against the first monitor. But that is to be expected with two huge monitors, I still highly recommend this stand.
