Received mine today, wore them all day. Here's my first impression. The coloring is a little off, a little darker than the pictures greys. The brown branding is a little cheap feeling, but that doesn't effect it all that much. I had a pair of brown laces that looked bomb when I laced them. Matches the color perfect. Sizing. I wear tens and ordered a ten due to stock. I have bony ankles and did notice a chafing on them at first, but soon broke them in and forgot about it. The main problem is the tapered high ankle is somewhat hard to get on. Sizing wise I was fine. I'm a freshman in high school so I wear tens despite being more of a nine to nine and a half in case I grow them in. I had a little bit less room than a pair of Aldo shoes I own, but plenty none the less. I should add in, the comfort on the sole was really good. It's thin but has alot more support than a pair of vans I own. I have a calus on my foot that would hurt on the vans thick sort of mushy flat sole. On these I walked no problem. The sides are padded making for my thin feet to be fine and cushioned.
Quality wise I wasn't blown away. The sole seems fine, but that canvas seems somewhat different for whatever reason compared to other canvas shoes I own. I think it's because my others are worn, and this one is thicker. My problem is the cheap branding on the sole. It looks to me as if a thin layer of rubber was used over some papery material, and the rubber was peeling on the first day. There might be a ruber coat fiz for this, but I wish they hadn't put the branding anyways. Secondly, I don't think the photo captures how slightly more tapered the shoe is in the middle and rouned at some parts. Not that it looks bad, just a little different.
All in all, if the shoe lasts I'll consider them again esp with these exact color matching laces. I rate 7/10 as an arbitrary rating. I'm no shoe expert by any means though.
EDIT:Turns out I was wrong, the bottom branding is all rubber, just some hard to remove sawdust or something for on the sole and washed off in the rain. I'm loving the shoes the more I wear them, and I struck a little lucky in sizing I think, cause they don't feel that shabby. Pretty goodish quality from my first two days.

azae2oo1The bottom of these shoes is pre-sprayed with some sort of "felt" like material and will go away after a few days of use as there true rubber underneath. :D
Anyhow, keep us posted if you are starting to see a tear or separation from the inner heal where the fabric and sole meet. This is a quite a few other people have experienced including me from wearing the shoes on moderate/daily basis after 3 months.

crayzieapYeah I'll keep you guys notified. On a different note, would these wax fine? I'm thinking of waxing these as it's been raining more often lately.
