froponesI have 2 Spinetic spinners and I really like them. I have stainless steel X and Y and I would recommend either one. If your looking for plastic, I like the Troika. Lots of colours and glow in the dark versions. I have the blue glow and it's a fun spinner. All are great for fidgeting and even have a long spin time.

swallaceThank God someone with different spinners has voiced their opinion. The problem with this discussion is that people who doesn't have it bitch about the price and people who do tries to justify their purchase (to save face?) Without giving any relevant comparison. "It's extremely smooth" is relative. I share the same opinion. This thing is overpriced as fuck :)

HouseYou hit the nail on the head. There are a lot of well priced spinners that are "really smooth" that you don't have to pay $200 for. Look for R188 bearings that are ceramic or a hybrid ceramic...then find a design you like. Whether it looks good to carry with a suit or just going out to the movies. There are lots of great options.
I want to make sure I am clear and say that Vorso is a solid company. I have one of their spinning tops and I love it. So if you love this design and want to spend the money, please go ahead. I just people to know there are great options at a fraction of the price. Think of what this is used for and spend accordingly.

swallaceSo R188 bearings are desirable? What about the R188 in stainless steel, are those good too?
I am totally ignorant about fidgets and bearings. Interesting to note, I have had a bearing on my desk for the past 20 years (says Japan, Nachi, 6203 on it) and have spinned it many, many times. Recently I joined the Giggle Hands Fidget Spinner drop here on MD, and I pledged for the affordable Five Dollar Fidget Spinner on Kickstarter (I also pledged for another very affordable fidget toy, the Fidget Cube).
So it's safe to say I have always liked fidgeting, but only recently I discovered there are other options besides my trusted old bearing. I'm just trying to understand what those options are, and which fidgets are worth the price of admission!

BobrazThe stainless steel bearings are good. You will get great spin times out of them. The industry is going more towards the ceramic or hybrid ceramic because of little to no rust potential over time and being more quiet. Most metal bearings have a slight...or even loud ringing to them. Some people like this as it may cause a vibration in the spin. This option may not be good for students in class or someone in an office that has to keep quiet. A lot of spinners nowadays have removable bearings, so you can always switch them out later if you want. The biggest thing to remember is that most bearings are different sizes, so if your spinner came with a 608 bearing then you cannot replace it with an R188. Unless you have an adapter like a NTO RevCore. Know the sizes and you will be fine.

BozzoThere are a few places that offer that type of metal. If you are on Facebook, you should join the Spin Space group. People there are constantly posting new products and the users are posting which they like best. Also, you will have to wait for drops to happen before you can purchase...and they go fast. You have a bit of warning and then 15 minutes later, they're gone. I actually can't think of any sites that would have titanium in stock at the moment. Check out www.rotablade.com for the Stubby, www.zerofeud.com for the Compass, and then Spin Space for everything else.

froponesYou can get the Falcon from FlyAwayToys for $55 . Aluminum with a full ceramic beariing. Far better than this crap for less than 1/3 of the price. The vorso is a joke.

swallaceI've requested to be part of the Spin Space group, so far I have had no reply.
I ended up on Reddit, and found Fidgethq.com; I ended up buying the Zentri and Zenstar through a special group buy link. I wholeheartedly agree with @dns7950 that the Vorso is way, way overpriced for its specs.

BobrazI've requested to that Facebook group a few times (with well mannered messages) and just gave up. Funny how the dude tells everyone to join yet doesn't bother trying to actually invite people. How is the Zentri? I'm interested in ordering it for fun since it has a great price point but the website looks a bit iffy.
