Great product
It is not easy to find quality keyboards at affordable prices on the market and this model is one of the few cases that convinces. Highly recommended for those who love this layout.

A pleasure to type on
Has all the keys I need, and non that I don't. A pleasure to type and doesn't take up too much real estate on my desk.

Perfect 75% keyboard
The keyboard feels very high quality, especially the metal frame. I like the bezzle-less design and the offset function row even if that means esc & delete keycaps will be harder to find. I didn't like the Cherry blue switches I ordered it with but these were fairly easy to desolder. As of recently someone made a QMK compatible PCB called bearface or sth that fits inside the Race 3. So with QMK support this keyboard is pretty much perfect.

Great little keyboard
This keyboard has the footprint of smaller keyboards with the functionality of larger ones. No RGB backlighting, but you get a full function key row, page up/down, home, end, and an arrow keypad. Has an LED for caps lock too! One gripe, the laser etching on the *back* is a little less than top quality (some smudgy-ness around a few of the lines), but you'll probably never look at this anyway.

arjunygI also thought the etching on the back was bad until I noticed that there was a protective plastic film which should be peeled off

Fantastic MKB!
search
This is my first MKB and wow, it's simultaneously the best and worst purchase ever. The board quality is great, the aluminum case adds a nice heft, which is good for me because I type pretty heavy-handedly; It takes a bit of energy to move or pickup the board. The keycaps seem to be a good quality, but I don't really have the experience to know the difference, so take that with a grain of NaCl... I went with Cherry Clears and while they're definitely stiffer than my old knock-off Blues, I do type pretty heavily, so the stiffer switch helps make spelling mistakes almost non-existent (for me) now. I haven't tried the firmware or any layer programming yet, as that's very new to me and I don't know where to start with that, but that's not something I'd fault Vortex for anyway. It's the worst purchase ever because the literal only negative about this for me is that it opened the door to spend A L O T more money on MKBs. RIP wallet, I guess. If I had the opportunity, I would 13/7 purchase this board again, absolute perfection, IMO.

Opening box and ESC key doesn't feel like working. After I found keycap removal tool, tried to pull it. This happened. Not sure how this can be greate keyboard, when they for the money paid didn't even bother including keycap removal tool. I didn't find manual in the box either -- at least say how can I switch layout to macOS. QA fail. Disappointed. Not sure I even want to bother replacing it. Update: Found manual http://vortexgear.tw/db/upload/webdata4/6vortex_20171121209163243.pdf Firmware is... windows executable file. WTF is that?! instant ★☆☆☆☆

Don't buy this if you value your wallet. This was a gateway keyboard for me. A great keyboard for the money, but next thing you know I'm dropping the same amount of money for switches and lubing them myself now 😂 Actually though, cherry mx clears feel great and the build quality of this board is top notch. People complain about how the ESC keycap is weirdly shaped which makes it hard to find customs, but I really love the stock keycaps on this thing. Other features I love are: built in dvorak layout support (I'm one of those guys...) and being able to change to OSX command keys mode, which is super helpful because I am constantly connecting this keyboard to both macs and windows machines. All in all, a fantastic first board! It might seem pricy but I'd argue that it's worth the money.

Solidly built keyboard, love it to this day. the placement of the cursor/control keys are pretty weird and took a bit of getting used to but the layout overall is perfect for my preference over a 60% yet smaller than a TKL. the alternative coloured caps given are also a very nice touch. A bit biased though because I simply love the DSA profile and goes just perfectly with the XDA keycaps on my ErgoDox.
