for anyone in EU (which thankfully still includes the UK) i've found https://mykeyboard.eu/catalogue/vortex-3ace-ansi-mx-blue_160/ who sell this board at what works out to be about the same price as massdrop, factoring in shipping and import levies. it was in stock 2 days ago but is gone now (i'm wishing i'd acted a bit faster <.<)
idk when they'll refill though. i suppose there's a chance if you let the drop expire it'll be september before this site gets any more too. though mx browns are still purportedly in stock, for now.
one thing i will point out is clears are an option, apparently unlike with the other sites to buy within the US? and for no extra cost either.

either way, this board's a bit elusive! i suppose that's to be expected given it's so new. (also bear in mind that vortex are working on an ISO version, which presumably will be sold at higher volumes on the european sites than the ANSI version. however, since i'm used to the mac UK layout, there is more in common with regular ANSI than with regular ISO, so i think i actually want this version anyway. even though i like the ISO enter, i can't deny the ANSI enter key looks easier to hit with my pinky from the home row..)
it's such a shame that i waited when i saw the switch variant i wanted was in stock, because no keyboard has captured my imagination like this one since my tactile pro 3! now what used to be a passing interest in DSA/SA caps is now utter infatuation with the retromodern feel they offer. plus the colourful keycaps are too good to pass up. i used to think whatever board i bought next would have RGB to be able to match my mouse and change depending on what game i'm in, but now i know it's this one. it's just a matter of time, i suppose, whether i join the drop or if one of these sites gets back in stock.
