hummmYes, the switches can be changed if you're inclined, but that's a fair amount of work. Why not buy a keyboard with an eye to switching out the keycaps, which is less time consuming?
Are you asking whether the switches in any mechanical keyboard can be changed? I doubt that you have to ask, since you say that "with a bit of DIY, that is not hard to do." Still, I don't quite understand why you'd ask if the switches in a Vortex keyboard could be replaced with others by the user unless you were new to things like the common practices of famous mechanical keyboard companies or building keyboards from kits.

VarholiaglimpThanks for the reply. I'm not an expert. I'm looking for 75% or TKL keyboard with programmable capability, NKRO, and medium (or even low) height PBT keycaps. Backlit is secondary. I like the Vortex because of the keycaps, its colors, its form factor. I would like to try different switches other than cherry (like gateron or kailh), and also be able to change keycaps if I wish. I saw the Glorious modular keyboard but I prefer the aesthetic of the Vortex. Any solution? Thanks!
