I am really struggling choosing between Silver and Clears, I haven't tried them before. I have Topre now, but they're not exactly optimal for gaming. Tips, anyone?
I do like browns though, and I've had it before. But as far as I can tell, White and Clears are better, but I'm kind of struggling to find the real difference.

berryhillWell they are two different switches. Silvers being essentially reds with a shorter actuation and bottom out distance, and clears being a "heavier" brown. While I don't have a full board of them, silvers feel a little bit floaty and somehow short in my opinion, but being linear they are likely better suited for gaming.
I got this keyboard with clears in the last drop, and although I'm slowly getting used to them, I still don't really know what to feel about them. Browns are pretty much linear in comparison, but the tactility of clears is still much softer than I would've hoped, lacking the sharp, defined feedback that you get with clicky switches. They also feel dampened slightly when bottomed out, which on this particular board feels a bit like typing on wood, if I could compare it to anything. One thing that I've noticed is that they don't seem to be 100% consistent, especially with off-center presses and on wider keys, where they can feel different, and even bind quite badly on some of my keys. Whether this is just clears in general, or my particular switches - who knows, your mileage may vary.
My use is about half gaming, half typing, and they are fine either way. It will also depend on the type of games you play, but in my experience clears aren't too distracting in-game.
If you're looking for tactility, and are used to Topre - I think clears would be a bit of a downgrade. Compared to browns however, clears are a step up if you don't mind them being a bit heavier and softer. Can't comment on silvers too much, but they're likely a great choice for gaming. And you did mention whites (which are like a strangely soft MX blue), but they aren't an option with this drop. Unless you like a specific switch, I wouldn't get the same switches that you already have, it's healthy to try a bit of everything!

berryhillI have silvers and they are very light. Depends on the game you play I guess, but I don't really play many fps so not a big deal. But with the silvers, I did want something a bit heavier because they are feather light. If you're not a very accurate with your keystrokes, you will find it very frustrating since you will more times than not enter the wrong keys. I was going to pick up this board but mechanicalkeyboards has it for about the same price and shipping time is a lot faster. I think expected ETA for this board on massdrop is like end of July.

MacklinThank you so much for your reply, I had a mistake at the end of my comment though, I meant that Silver and Clears are supposedly "better" from reading some comments. I love the feel of Topre, but I feel like it's more work to write on these, kind of mushy.
But thanks again for the reply, this either ends with a coin toss, or I'll just safe it with the browns :p

Jitsu1Yeah, Silvers are dubbed as 'Speed' I've seen, and I don't really play a lot of FPS, but I think a lighter key might be ideal for me. Thanks for tips! :)
