I've had several Russian watches, albeit cheap old ones. They were all interesting, and all strangely cantankerous. But the one in this deal looks interesting, and my Googling seems to indicate it's priced right. I wish there was more information on the movement...

cgalnyVostok-Europe is not a russian company it's lithuanian. Movements are japanese (mostly).

Paulus57Thanks for correcting me. Vostok was (and I don't know if the company still exists) a Russian watchmaker. I've owned several Vostok and other Russian watches, and I liked them all, even though most of them wound up needing repair.

cgalnyVostok-Europe and Vostok (Boctok), are not the same companies. Vostok (Boctok) is still Russian.

Paulus57I realize that; I did not imply they are the same company in my previous post, in which I acknowledged my originally mistaken belief that Vostok-Europe is a Russian company.
