does this drone have cameras/gimble such that the 3d or head tilt tracking features of the goggles matter? seems to me like the cheapest goggles use the full range of features offered by the quadcopter

This drone does not have a pan and tilt mechanism attached to the camera. Most racing drones use a fixed position camera except for mechanically/manually adjusting the angle of attack (tilt). The reason for this is during high speed racing, if the camera is changing position relative to the body of the aircraft it can be confusing and can give the pilot a false sense of positioning resulting in overcorrection or undercorrection. Most head tracking units are used in aerial cinematography or on surface vehicles like cars, trucks and boats, to put one in the driver's seat while having the ability to look around and spot objects and their relation to the vehicle, hope this helps!

DC_JCThere are 2 types of drones: Drones with camera and camera with drone. The is the former, huge difference. Head tracking, like 3D, is generally useless and will decrease your time required to fatal crash. Head tracking is only "valid" when you have auto-level + GPS lock (both are really dangerous for novice). Gimbals start at $200 for an entry gimbal (no camera). This is a 110 sub250 gram offering - if you don't recognize the difference and utility you should go back to googling drone information until you learn enough to not enter the hobby. All of us who are trying to keep the hobby less-illegal (this unit is illegal on several front like all FPV drone).
The goggles have more features so you can invest in a bigger unit only to find that the goggles really don't perform. I know this because I spec builds for a lot of people who go through this cycle.
